Les Misérables

So, the title of this post explains it.

Anyone who hasn't caught the movie, please go watch it.
I can guarantee you'll enjoy it as much as I do... cause I watched it twice (& cried during both times)!
First time was with le sister & then second time (today!) with Kalai & Liwen :)
Initially I had no idea what the movie was all about, I've only heard good reviews about it and everyone seemed to have already watched it so I decided to watch it.

Now before I spoil everything (for those who hasn't watched the movie), here's the trailer:

I had no idea that this was a musical-like movie, so I sat there, dumbfounded when Hugh Jackman started singing. But as I watched on, all the music and singing drew me into the movie itself. & before I knew it, I was tearing. This movie is seriously awfully good I swear, thumbs up for it! It was full of emotions and talks of fight, dream hope, forgiveness, love, sacrifice...
Really amazed by the selection of casts, the props and setup, the acting, singing etc...
Some of my favorite songs from the movie:

Castle on a Cloud
Young Cosette (Isabelle Allen) was super adorable, I am in love with her voice.

On My Own
Practically wept as Samantha Barks sang this hahaha.

I Dreamed A Dream

Do You Hear The People Sing?

Though I'm not exactly a very artsy person, by that I meant it in the music aspect, I love love love the songs in this movie. I don't listen to operas or musical at all, I've only watched one musical before - Wicked (with Niki too hahaha). I was so in love with the movie and songs that's why I caught the movie again, this time asking Kalai along since she's not seen it before. I think she's convinced why I think this movie's so awesome teehee.

What's even more awesome, in case some of you do not know, is that the casts sang live as the movie was shot. Nope, no pre-recorded soundtracks. Watch this next video and you'll get my point!

Now you understand why this movie is a must-watch? :)
If that's not enough reasons, I have more!

"Hot guys who can sing!" - Kalai
So cute teehee.

Anne Hathaway.
She is a really really great actress, kudos to that!

And of course, there's more actors and actresses that were able to bring the audience back to the specific time period, showing us the lives of the poor during the French Revolution through their skilled acting. *applause*

Happy that I caught it on big screen again, yay!
I urge y'all to watch it if y'all haven't! You won't regret it! :)

Some bite-size updates on me btw. School has started and I'm having mixed feelings for sem 2 cause it means meeting new people and making new friends. But I've already have Kalai, Liwen and Calvin so there's nothing much to fear of right? :>

Ahhh, the songs from Les Misérables are still stuck in my head.
Till next time!
