July has been a busy month for me, even though I'm not working my ass off like my friends.
Last week I was preoccupied with adm foc 2013 and the week before that babyboy was in camp but I had to make trips back to school to prep for camp. I had a near death experience (or at least it felt like one), I almost fainted in public but managed to recover before camp started. Oh and the kiddos came over to visit too and we celebrated my bro's birthday together :)
It was funny watching Chloe interact with my babyboy, the cute little girl thought Adrian was indian hahaha. Why am I not surprised hehe.
Been a little too emotional recently, I need more beautiful skies.
I'm glad I participated for camp, signed up to be an agl.
This year's camp reminded me so much of last year, when I was still a freshie.
Everything was still so foreign, so new back then, and now my juniors are in that same position.
All that hard work and sweat put into prepping for the camp did not go to waste for sure, the many hours spent in school painting props, running about Chinatown with my fellow gls to make the group identity, all of these formed happy memories.
My group wasn't the most ra ra type in the camp, they were in fact the extreme opposite.
Quiet, shy and reserved.
That became a problem for us gls initially, we were all so disappointed and depressed with them being so calm and zen about everything. But with determination and strong belief, they warmed up to each other and bonded well, especially on bash night. We were all so high and hyped up, we were in fact one of the last two groups left at the dance floor at the end of the night.
I guess the htht with everyone was what really bonded us with the group, us gls showing our emotions, not hiding our disappointment and explaining how we felt to them, it really did put across the message we wanted them to receive since the first day of camp. Now I wake up happily to hundred plus whatsapp messages on my phone :)
Nagaland, you're the best!
And of course, I've to thank my cutest gls Gwendolyn and Raymond!
The support they provided and our combined efforts made Nagaland what it is today, kudos to the both of you whoop whoop! :*
Cheers to the new friendships bonded through this camp!
^ ^
Gonna have to spend the next two weeks wisely before school starts in August!
I cannot wait for the new sem to come!
